Bill Dove has more than 24 years of experience in the investment industry. Entering the profession at the height of the dot-com bubble, Bill has helped his clients navigate many bull and bear markets. In this role as a Senior Portfolio Manager for 1834’s Institutional and Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) clients, Bill provides investment management services to businesses, nonprofits and government entities.
Over the course of his career, Bill has served large-sized institutions, family offices and individual investors, and has amassed significant experience as a multi-asset class allocator spanning fixed income, public equities and private markets investments.
Bill spent the majority of his career at Wells Fargo where he was a portfolio manager for Abbot Downing and Wells Fargo Capital Management. Prior to joining 1834, Bill was a Senior Investment Advisor at PNC Bank and served as a member of the investment team for a large family office.
Bill has a degree in economics and literature from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of St. Thomas. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the SFA Society of Minnesota.
Passionate about giving back to the community, Bill is on the Board of Trustees for the Science Museum of Minnesota and volunteers with the Academy of Finance at St. Paul Public Schools.
Outside of work, Bill enjoys spending time with this wife and children – especially when it’s at their cabin in northern Wisconsin.
