John Claybon
CFA® | Senior Executive Managing Director, 1834 Institutional Services
With more than 35 years of experience in the investment industry, John Claybon leads the 1834 Institutional and Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) group, which provides investment and consulting services for businesses, nonprofits and governmental entities. He is also responsible for oversight of Philanthropic Services and Corporate Trust.
John is also actively involved in fixed income research and assists with the management of Old National Bancorp’s $11 billion investment portfolio. Other significant career contributions include:
- Serving on multiple boards and management committees including the Old National Wealth Leadership Team, which is responsible for directing the activities of the company’s investment management process.
- Providing leadership to the institutional team, which routinely opens new accounts worth hundreds of millions of dollars, helping new and existing clients put in place actionable strategies for their complex financial needs.
- Having served as Director of Fixed Income Management and Old National’s Chief Investment Officer.
John earned two degrees in economics and English from the University of Southern Indiana. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute®.
Outside of work, John is active with his church and enjoys gardening, volunteering and spending time with his family.
