Tara Krueger has more than 15 years of experience in the retirement industry. In her role as the Director of Product and Offer Management for 1834 Retirement Plan Services, Tara is responsible for the RPS advisory product offer and related product management, governance and oversight of the retirement business.

Prior to coming to 1834, Tara was at Principal Financial Group in the Retirement & Income Solutions division. Throughout her tenure, Tara held positions of increasing scope and responsibility, including leadership roles and involvement with retirement plan distribution, pricing, underwriting, product development, product management and operations.

She is known for her:

  • People-first approach
  • Curious and strategic mindset – in a quest to figure out how things can be better
  • Belief in always doing what’s right

Tara earned her bachelor’s degree and MBA from Long Island University (C.W. Post) where she was a decorated varsity athlete, holding several records in soccer, and winning a National Championship in lacrosse. 

Outside of work, when Tara is not supporting her children at hockey rinks or ballfields, she enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle – including CrossFit, strength training, triathlons and learning all she can about nutrition and mindset.
